
POMONA – Two people were killed and another person was rushed to a hospital from a multi-vehicle crash allegedly triggered by a wrong way driver on the Pomona (60) Freeway in Pomona, authorities said Sunday.
The crash occurred at about 11 p.m. Saturday on the westbound freeway near Reservoir Street, where the motorist was allegedly going east in the westbound lanes of traffic, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Two women were pronounced dead at the scene. Paramedics rushed another person to a hospital, but that person’s condition was not immediately clear.
The roadway was cleared at 4:02 a.m. Sunday, the CHP said.
