SUNLAND – Police Saturday are investigating a fatal collision in Sunland where a pedestrian was fatally struck by a driver.
Los Angeles Police Department officers from the Valley Division were called at 11:15 p.m. Friday to the 8300 block of Foothill Boulevard between Scoville and Parr Avenues, where they found the pedestrian lying in the roadway, according to an LAPD spokesman.
During their investigation, officers learned the driver was traveling west on Foothill, where they struck the victim, police said.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles Fire Department personnel.
The driver remained on scene and cooperated with officers, police said.
The crash is under investigation.
