LONG BEACH – A man suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to the lower body during a shooting in Long Beach, authorities said Thursday.
Officers were dispatched about 11 p.m. Wednesday to the 3300 block of 65th Street regarding a shooting, and the victim was taken to a hospital by paramedics, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
The man had been in an argument with a suspect, which escalated into a shooting, police said.
The suspect fled the scene prior to the arrival of police. No other information was immediately available.
The investigation into the shooting was ongoing.
