LANCASTER – A man was fatally shot in a gang-related shooting in Lancaster Thursday night, and a suspect was arrested.
The shooting occurred around 7:20 a.m. in the 44000 block of Beech Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The victim was taken to a hospital with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body, and later died, police said.
Homicide investigators determined that the victim was approached by the suspect on Avenue J-2, between Beech Avenue and Sierra Highway, and the assailant fired multiple rounds at the victim.
No information was released regarding the suspect.
