LAKEWOOD – A 34-year-old man shot and killed by Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies was identified Thursday.
Homicide investigators responded to reports of a “deputy-involved” shooting last Thursday around 12:15 a.m. in the 15000 block of Paramount Boulevard, near Somerset Boulevard, according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
Paramedics arrived at the location and pronounced the suspect dead at the scene.
He was later identified by the Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner as Juan Alvarez.
