LANCASTER – A 61-year-old man who was found dead at a mobile home park in Lancaster after a fire was extinguished was identified Thursday.
Los Angeles County Fire Department firefighters and Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded to the 1300 block of East Avenue I around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday regarding a body found after flames at a residence were knocked down with a fire extinguisher, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The victim was later identified by the Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner as Stephen Choma. His cause of death was not publicly available.
It was unclear what may have sparked the fire, and its cause was under investigation.
