LOS ANGELES – A woman in her 40s and her assailant were in the hospital after they were shot during a struggle in the West Adams neighborhood of Los Angeles, police said Thursday.
Los Angeles Police Department officers from the department’s Southwest Division were called at 10 p.m. Wednesday to the 3400 block of Somerset Drive, between Jefferson and Exposition boulevards regarding a shots fired call.
When they arrived, officers learned the woman and a man in his 60s were inside a vehicle when they began arguing, according to an LAPD spokesman. A struggle ensued and both were wounded by gunfire, police said.
Both were taken to a hospital by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics with gunshot wounds and were in stable condition.
The shooting is under investigation.
