LOS ANGELES – A woman was killed Monday when she was struck by a hit-and-run vehicle in the Florence area of Los Angeles.
The crash occurred at about 6:15 p.m. Sunday at 74th and Main Streets, according to a desk officer at the Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations Center.
The woman was inside a crosswalk as she walked across the street, he said.
The officer said that the driver had driven away from the scene.
Police said a reward of up to $50,000 is available to members of the public who provide information leading to identification, apprehension and/or conviction in a fatal hit-and-run.
