LOS ANGELES – A woman was fatally stabbed early Sunday morning in downtown Los Angeles.
Los Angeles Police Department officers with Central Division initially responded to a shots fired call in the 200 block of East 12th Street before 1:00 a.m.
Upon arrival, they located a female, approximately 20 years old, not conscious and not breathing, and suffering from a stab wound to the neck during a party.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene despite lifesaving efforts. Her identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
