WASHINGTON – The Associated Press is reporting that President Donald Trump has issued pardons for those who participated in the Jan. 6 at the U.S. Capitol.
This is one of Trump’s first acts after he was sworn in.
The pardons fulfill Trump’s promise to release supporters who tried to help him overturn his election defeat four years ago.
“These are the hostages,” he said while signing the paperwork in the Oval Office.
