LANCASTER – Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department homicide detectives Saturday have a suspect in custody in connection with the fatal stabbing of a man in Lancaster.
Deputies from the Lancaster Station were called at 4:18 p.m. Friday to the 1700 block of East Avenue J, west of 20th Street East, regarding a person down call. When they arrived, deputies found the victim suffering from stab wounds, said Lt. Michael Modica.
He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The deputies conducted a follow-up investigation and detained a person of interest who was possibly involved in the assault, the sheriff’s department said. They also recovered an edged weapon from the scene.
