GARDEN GROVE – A motorcyclist was fatally injured in a collision with a vehicle in Garden Grove, authorities said Thursday.
The crash between a Yamaha motorcycle and an Audi sedan happened around 10 p.m. Tuesday, in the 12000 Block of Euclid Street near Chapman Avenue and north of the Garden Grove (22) Freeway, according to the Garden Grove Police Department.
Responding officers found the motorcyclist unresponsive, and paramedics later pronounced him deceased at the scene.
The victim was identified as 36-year-old Santiago Higareda Jr., according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Coroner’s Department.
The other vehicle’s driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, police said.
The cause of the collision was under investigation and it was unknown whether drugs or alcohol factored into the crash.
