LOS ANGELES – A man was shot and wounded Monday when he refused to give his clothing to another man at gunpoint in the Pico-Union area of Los Angeles.
The shooting occurred at 12:15 a.m. on Oak Street, according to a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman.
A videographer who went to the scene said it was the 1400 block of Oak Street at Venice Boulevard at what appeared to be an illegal night club.
The suspect attempted to rob the man of his clothing at gunpoint, the LAPD spokesman said. The victim refused and the suspect fired multiple rounds at him before running away.
Paramedics took the victim to a hospital where he had stable vital signs, the police spokesman said.
