LONG BEACH – A man in his vehicle escaped injury when a suspect fired a gun in his direction in Long Beach, authorities said Saturday.
Officers were dispatched about 11:50 p.m. Friday to the scene of the shooting in the 500 block of East 19th Street, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
The victim was in his vehicle when the suspect approached him. He attempted to flee the area in his vehicle and the suspect discharged a handgun in his direction. The suspect fled the scene prior to the arrival of police, and no injuries were reported.
The investigation was ongoing.
