Lancaster – A 12-year-old boy was injured in a drive-by shooting in Lancaster Wednesday evening.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to a shooting incident in the 44000 block of Camellia Ave. around 9:30 p.m.
Upon arrival, firefighters determined that the victim had been struck by gunfire during a drive-by shooting.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department also responded to the scene and has assumed responsibility for investigating the shooting.
The victim was airlifted to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles in unknown condition.
