LOS ANGELES – A woman was fatally stabbed early Sunday morning in downtown Los Angeles.
Los Angeles Police Department officers with Central Division initially responded to a shots fired call in the 200 block of East 12th Street before 1:00 a.m.
Upon arrival, they located a female, not conscious and not breathing, and suffering from a stab wound to the neck during a party. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics were seen performing lifesaving measures that were unsuccessful.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the victim as 28-year-old Amanda Torres, who was pronounced deceased at the scene.
According to witnesses, a patron was removed from the club which resulted in a fight ensuing in the alley.
