TORRANCE – The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner Office Thursday released the name of a 33-year-old motorcyclist killed in a crash with a car in Torrance.
The decedent was identified as Keith Cody Bagwell of Harbor City, according to the examiner’s office.
Officers were sent to the intersection of Crenshaw Boulevard and 236th Street around 6:04 p.m. Tuesday regarding a collision involving a 2019 Jaguar and a 1992 Honda motorcycle, according to the Torrance Police Department.
Police determined that the Jaguar was southbound on Crenshaw Boulevard then made a left turn onto 236th Street, colliding with a Honda motorcycle heading northbound on Crenshaw Boulevard.
Torrance Fire Department personnel arrived at the location to examine the motorcyclist but pronounced him dead at the scene.
The 78-year-old Torrance man at the wheel of the Jaguar was not injured, police said.
The northbound and southbound lanes of Crenshaw Boulevard between 235th and 237th streets were closed for more than four hours as an investigation was conducted, police said.
