LANCASTER – A female pedestrian was fatally struck by a driver Tuesday night in Lancaster.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded to a call regarding a pedestrian versus vehicle on Avenue K near 10th Street West around 9:38 p.m.
Upon arrival, they located a female pedestrian and started life-saving measures that were unsuccessful and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with law enforcement.
