LONG BEACH – A 28-year-old homeless man was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon for allegedly stabbing a man in Long Beach, authorities said Saturday.
Officers dispatched at about 11:25 p.m. Friday to the 6800 block of Atlantic Avenue located the victim, who had been in an argument with the suspect which escalated into a stabbing, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
The victim suffered a non-life-threatening wound to the lower body and was taken to a hospital, police said.
The suspect, who fled the scene prior to the arrival of police, was found a short while later near the location and arrested.
Dominique Dangelo Perryman was booked on one count of assault with a deadly weapon and one count of obstruction of a police officer at the Long Beach City Jail, where he was being held in lieu of $30,000 bail.
