EAST LOS ANGELES – An armed suspect was shot by deputies early Tuesday morning in East Los Angeles.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies with the East LA station responded to reports of an armed person outside a 7-Eleven convenience store in the 6500 block of E. Olympic Blvd. around 1:00 a.m.
Upon arrival, they located a person armed with a handgun. It is not known how the deputy-involved shooting occurred.
According to videographers at the scene, the suspect was transported to a local hospital in an unknown condition. A handgun was recovered at the scene.
