LANCASTER – A 15-year-old boy killed in a three-vehicle traffic crash in Lancaster was a Long Beach resident, authorities said Tuesday.
He was identified as Tramir Peyton and he died from blunt trauma in the crash, according to the Medical Examiner’s office.
The crash occurred at 20th Street East and Avenue K at 5:30 p.m. Friday and the preliminary investigation indicated a man driving a Dodge Charger entered the eastbound lanes of Avenue K, just east of 20th Street East, when another man driving a Lexus ES350 east on Avenue K in the No. 1 lane crashed into the Charger, according to Sheriff’s Detective Jorge Diaz.
The Lexus was pushed into the westbound lanes of Avenue K, where it was struck by a Nissan Rogue that was westbound.
The teen was a passenger in the Lexus and pronounced dead at the scene, Diaz said.
The crash was under investigation and anyone with information was asked to contact traffic investigators at the Lancaster Sheriff Station at 661-948-8466.
