ANAHEIM – A man and a woman suspected of killing a 25-year-old man in an Anaheim residential neighborhood were in custody Thursday.
Anaheim Police Department officers and Orange County Fire Authority firefighters responded to reports of a shooting around 8:42 p.m. Sunday in the 2000 block of South Margie Lane, near Ninth Street.
Upon their arrival, the officers found Kenneth Wayne Swets unresponsive inside a vehicle. Swets suffered from several gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene, said Sgt. Matt Sutter of the Anaheim Police Department.
Homicide detectives were called to the scene and began their investigation. Rashaadd Eugene Royal, a 41-year-old Corona resident, and Jennifer Camacho Mandap, a 51-year-old Moreno Valley resident–
were identified as suspects and arrested Wednesday, police said.
The investigation determined Royal knew the victim.
