EAST LOS ANGELES – Authorities Thursday were investigating the fatal shooting of a man in East Los Angeles.
Investigators responded to the 500 block of Eastmont Avenue, between Atlantic and Beverly boulevards, around 4:40 p.m. Wednesday regarding a shooting, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
It was unclear what motivated the shooting, and there was no description of a suspect.
The man was taken to Los Angeles General Medical Center, where he later died. The man’s age was not disclosed and his name was being withheld pending notification of relatives.
