GARDENA – A driver was killed Saturday when his vehicle rolled into the center median of a Gardena roadway and another motorist who was allegedly involved was arrested.
The crash was reported at about 6:30 a.m. Saturday in the 2900 block of Rosecrans Avenue east of Crenshaw Boulevard, according to Gardena Police Department Investigator Jose Zamudio.
The motorist was pronounced dead at the scene, he said. The gender and age of the motorist were not released.
“As officers were conducting their investigation, the driver of a separate involved vehicle returned to the scene,” Zamudio said. “As a result of leaving the scene, the driver of the second vehicle was arrested by GPD officers.”
The crash remained under investigation, he said. Anyone with information was asked to call him at 310-217-6189.
