The Inglewood City Council approved an Advance Funds Agreement with HAS INWD Property Owner LLC to cover costs for environmental services for a proposed housing development on the closed school sites of Woodworth Elementary School and the athletic fields of Morningside High School.
HAS INWD Property Owner LLC is not registered to conduct business in California, according to state records. HAS INWD Property Owner LLC is registered in the state of Delaware and was formed in late 2023.
The owner’s name(s) are shielded by registered agents, who will execute the agreement with the City with Impact Sciences Inc., run by Jessica Kirchner, AICP, who is the consultant performing the review of environmental documents.
The accompanying staff report doesn’t provide a timeline of when construction would commence on the property and although it states no buildings will be demolished for this activity, the Inglewood Unified School District has already announced the permanent closure of Morningside High School at the end of the current school year in 2025.

What the %#%^@$
Owner’s names are shielded!!
How many believe the name(s) will also appear on the campaign contribution form that eventually will be turned in by Mayor Butts’ campaign committee?
And as long as we are thinking about the damage already done to our community ….who believes not a single one of those 573 units will have children who will need an education?
And then there is the really “out there” question ….shouldn’t the sale price of this property be sufficient enough to pay off the IUSD loan and return the school district to local control??
Let’s think that thru shall we…even if we believe our single family home lots were only saleable for $500,000.00 ….it would only take 58 lots to reach the $29 million state loan which Tina McKinnor and Steve Bradford refused to write off 2 years ago when there was a huge State Budget Surplus….
Some are wondering….Was the school site sale “negotiated” like the dirt under Ballmer’s Intuit Dome with Inglwood tax payers receiving only an itty bitty percentage of comparable real estate costs?
HMMM…Let’s count the houses on your block then cut and paste a map page to see how many blocks fit on the dirt that has been sold to Mr. Unknown who is Hiding his identity.
If it was a project worthy of recognition wouldn’t the owner be proud enough to take credit or bows for planning to provide low or moderate priced homes for perhaps a thousand (assuming the units will not all be studio, bachelor or one bedroom in size)?
Not to worry our Planning Commissioners will not ask hard questions !! Afterall hardly ever a project appears before the commission that the don’t rave the Joy’s of.
Who wants to praise Larry Springs for those energy sucking digital billboards that litter our streets?
Oh as long as we are thinking about our energy, and water rate increases due to limited natural resources and power grid issues who thinks the new units will be completely off grid not using So Cal Edison services or any Water?
