INGLEWOOD – Three people were critically injured in a traffic collision on the 105 freeway in Inglewood.
The two-vehicle crash occurred near the Prairie Avenue off-ramp around 1:43 a.m.
One of the vehicles, possibly an airport shuttle, came to rest on its side. Firefighters from the Los Angeles County Fire Department arrived at the scene and found individuals trapped inside one of the vehicles.
LACOFD personnel extricated the victims, who were transported to nearby hospitals with critical injuries, according to initial reports. Other individuals were seen outside the vehicle and were being evaluated by medical personnel.
The California Highway Patrol responded to the incident and is handling the investigation.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. The off-ramp was temporarily blocked as emergency crews worked at the scene.
