TORRANCE – Two men were killed in a multi-vehicle crash on the San Diego (405) Freeway in Torrance, authorities said Tuesday.
The crash was reported at 11:44 p.m. Monday on the southbound San Diego Freeway south of Crenshaw Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Two men were confirmed dead, said CHP Officer Sean Lough. There was no immediate word about whether any other people were injured or the severity.
A witness told the CHP they saw a vehicle hit the center divider and debris flew over to the northbound side. At least two of the involved vehicles were described as sedans. One of the involved vehicles was overturned.
The CHP issued a SigAlert at 12:09 a.m. Tuesday shutting all southbound San Diego Freeway lanes between Crenshaw Boulevard and Western Avenue and the Crenshaw Boulevard on-ramp to the southbound freeway.
