INGLEWOOD – A pedestrian was killed by a hit-and-run driver early Thursday morning.
Inglewood Police Department (IPD) officers responded to a fatal crash involving a pedestrian on Imperial Hwy between Yukon and Cherry Ave. around 7:50 p.m.
According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office, the victim was identified as Stephen Dubose, 43, who was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Little is known about what happened because IPD continues to suppress information on crime in the City leaving residents to find information on social media accounts run by community members.
According to published reports, October is “Pedestrian Safety Awareness Month.” However, IPD does not utilize social media as other law enforcement agencies do to keep residents aware of what’s going on in the community as it pertains to fatal accidents and shootings.
You can routinely see the administrators of the IPD social media accounts “liking” photos of various city employees and departments while ignoring questions from the community.
The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
