LOS ANGELES – A man whose Harvard Heights apartment was burglarized and his dog taken got into an argument with a neighbor who allegedly shot him in one arm, authorities said Monday.
The shooting was reported at about 8:40 p.m. Sunday at 1845 St. Andrews Place near Washington Boulevard, according to a desk officer at the Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations Center.
The man returned home to find his apartment had been burglarized and his dog was missing, the officer said.
He went to his neighbor’s apartment to ask her about his dog and they got into an argument, the officer said.
The man heard a gunshot and realized he was wounded in one arm and walked to the front of the apartment complex to await police officers, the desk officer said.
The man was taken to a hospital by ambulance and had stable vital signs, the officer said. The woman was taken into custody. The dog’s status was not available.
