LANCASTER – A man and woman were killed when their vehicle crashed and ignited in flames in Lancaster, authorities said Monday.
The crash occurred around 2:30 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Avenue K and 62nd Street West, according to the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station.
“The preliminary investigation revealed that a male adult was the driver of the white Chevrolet Corvette and was traveling westbound on Avenue K,” the station reported. “For unknown reasons, the Chevrolet Corvette lost control colliding into multiple objects, rolled, and ignited into flames.”
The driver and the woman died at the scene. It was unknown if alcohol, drugs or speeding played a factor in the crash, officials said.
