LOS ANGELES – A teen who was struck and killed by a vehicle on the Harbor (110) Freeway in South Los Angeles was identified by county authorities Tuesday.
The pedestrian, who the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner’s office identified as Nathan Garcia, 17, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash occurred about 3:50 a.m. Sunday on the southbound freeway at West Century Boulevard, the California Highway Patrol reported.
A SigAlert was issued at 4:42 a.m. closing the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes of the southbound freeway for at least two hours.
