CANOGA PARK – A shooting near some apartment buildings in Canoga Park left one man fatally wounded and another in a hospital, authorities said Sunday.
The shooting occurred at about 11:45 p.m. Saturday in the 8300 block of Northgate Avenue, near the intersection of Roscoe and Topanga Canyon boulevards, said Officer Rosario Cervantes of Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Division.
Paramedics rushed both men to a hospital, where one was pronounced dead and the other had stable vital signs, police said. The deceased victim was described by police as a 19-year-old Hispanic male whose name was withheld pending the notification of next of kin.
