MONTEBELLO – A pedestrian was killed on a local freeway late Tuesday night in Montebello.
California Highway Patrol officers and Montebello Fire Department personnel responded to a traffic collision involving a pedestrian on the eastbound 60 freeway at Garfield Ave around 10:40 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers immediately rendered CPR to the victim.
Firefighters and Paramedics arrived on the scene and took over CPR, but the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by firefighters and paramedics.
Their identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
