LOS ANGELES – Authorities Thursday identified a man who was fatally struck by a vehicle on the Hollywood (101) Freeway south of Hollywood.
Officers were sent to the northbound freeway near Vermont Avenue about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday found the man lying in one of the lanes, according to the California Highway Patrol. He died at the scene.
On Thursday, the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner identified the man as Michael Miller, 50, whose city of residence was not known.
The northbound freeway was closed for several hours while an investigation was conducted into the circumstances of the death.
