HAWTHORNE – A multi-vehicle crash on the Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway left one person dead in Hawthorne Wednesday.
California Highway Patrol officers were called at 2:43 a.m. to the westbound freeway and the Crenshaw Boulevard off-ramp where they found the victim in the No. 2 lane of the freeway, according to CHP Officer Sean Lough.
The victim, whose age, gender and age were not immediately known, was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics.
The CHP issued a SigAlert for the closure of four lanes of the westbound freeway while they investigated the cause of the crash.
