HAWTHORNE – Police are continuing their investigation of the fatal shooting of a man outside a liquor store in Hawthorne on Aug. 12.
The shooting was reported Monday around 9:30 p.m. with Hawthorne Police Department officers responding to the liquor store’s parking lot near the corner of Crenshaw and El Segundo Boulevards, where they found the victim with gunshot wounds, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel.
Sheriff’s homicide detectives are assisting Hawthorn police with the shooting investigation.
