LONG BEACH – Two suspects have been identified in an organized retail theft ring that is responsible for at least $59,000 in losses to Long Beach businesses, police say.
The suspects were identified as 25 year-old Compton resident, Keyilah Lacy, and 48 year-old Wilmington resident, Andy Pollard.
According a press release issued by the Long Beach Police Department, Both suspects were arrested shortly after 11 a.m. on July 18th.
At the time, they were in possession of over $6,700 worth of merchandise from a business located at 71 Aquarium Way. An additional $8,000 worth of stolen merchandise was located inside of the suspects’ vehicle.
Detectives have determined these suspects were also responsible for retail thefts going back as far as July 2nd of 2023. In total, they have been connected to at least 11 other thefts for a total over $59,000.
Lacy was booked for shoplifting, organized retail theft with the intent to sell/exchange and grand theft.
Pollard was booked for robbery, two counts of burglary, three counts of grand theft, organized retail theft with intent to sell/exchange, possession of a fake check, and false identification to a peace officer.
Both suspects are being charged with nine counts of grand theft and one count of organized retail theft.
