WEST HOLLYWOOD – Authorities are investigating a “suspicious death” in West Hollywood Wednesday that might have resulted from road rage.
Deputies responded to the 7900 block of Santa Monica Boulevard at Fairfax Avenue around 1 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
According to KTLA5, which cited information from the sheriff’s department, the fatal incident was prompted by a collision in a 7-Eleven parking lot followed by a physical altercation between two men, in which one man fell to the ground unconscious.
Both men reportedly were taken to a hospital, and the man who fell unconscious was later pronounced dead. His name was being withheld by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner pending notification of relatives.
Investigators had not released the identity or condition of the other man as of Tuesday evening.
