California lawmakers on Tuesday night quietly passed a bill that will flex state law by allowing alcohol sales inside of a club in the future arena of the Los Angeles Clippers until 4 a.m.
The bill, AB 3206, will only allow the very early morning sale of alcohol inside of a small club in the new Intuit Dome arena in Inglewood. That club has a maximum capacity of 100 people. The Clippers are set to start playing in the new arena in the upcoming NBA season.
Lawmakers in the State Senate debated the bill, AB 2306, for about five minutes before approving it with the minimum amount of votes needed 21-14 with five lawmakers abstaining from the vote.

Are we to believe that our Assembly Member Tina thought more about extra alcohol time for the privileged than she did about writing a bill to return Inglewood Unified Schools back to local control!!
Are we supposed to believe 2 more drinking hours are “neccessary” because wealthy dome attendees:
1) can’t possibly get “enough” to drink in all the hours during the event and until 2 a.m. so they absolutely deserve an 2 extra hours more than common folk to have close buddy time over a few more drinks,
2) Alcohol consumption does not have the same effect on bodies of the inner circle of wealthy friends than average event attendees so there is no reason to believe driving away at 4a.m. after extra alcohol will result in dangerous driving.
3)The extra windfall of revenue generated by the tax on theses extra 2 hours per event will be used wisely by the councilmembers who have trouble understanding that their demigod should not be granted salary discretion for personal services or privileges prior Mayors did not have.
