COMPTON – Two people were wounded in a shooting that occurred during a street takeover in Compton, authorities said Monday.
The street takeover was reported at 8:20 p.m. Sunday at Greenleaf Boulevard and Santa Fe Avenue, according to Sgt. A. Hebert of the Compton Sheriff’s Station.
A video posted on social media by LA County Unleashed showed cars spinning around the intersection when the rear of a dark sedan swung into the rear of a white sedan.
The driver of the white vehicle is shown getting out and appearing to fire a handgun at the people in the dark sedan.
Two people later turned up at a hospital with gunshot wounds not believed life-threatening, Hebert said.
The ages and genders of the wounded people were not available.
