LOS ANGELES – A person was killed during a fiery single-vehicle crash Sunday on the Hollywood (101) Freeway near Universal Studios, authorities said.
The crash occurred about 4:40 a.m,. on the southbound freeway, at Universal Studios Blvd., the California Highway Patrol reported.
A white sedan struck a concrete barrier on the right shoulder of the freeway and caught fire, the CHP said.
A SigAlert, issued at 5:52 a.m. for the southbound Hollywood (101) Freeway at the Universal Studios Blvd. onramp, was canceled at 6:05 a.m.
There was no other immediate information available.
