DOWNEY – The second of three men in their 30s shot and killed in a homeless encampment in Downey was identified Tuesday by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.
The discovery was made at about 8:50 p.m. Saturday near the Rio San Gabriel Riverbed and Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway, according to the Downey Police Department.
“This appears to be an isolated incident,” police said. A news videographer at the scene said the area appeared to be a homeless encampment.
The coroner’s office identified one of the men Monday as 34-year-old Brandon Lindsley. On Tuesday, coroner’s officials said the second man pronounced dead at the scene was Arthur Sanchez.
