SANTA CLARITA – A man was taken into custody after leading authorities on a chase after stealing a deputies personal vehicle early Friday morning.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies and California Highway Patrol pursued a suspect who had stolen a personal vehicle belonging to deputy around 2:30 a.m.
The vehicle, which contained a loaded firearm, reached speeds exceeding 130 mph, eluding law enforcement multiple times.
The pursuit concluded when authorities located the vehicle beneath the 14 freeway at Soledad Canyon, originating from Palmdale.
The specific division of the sheriff involved remains undisclosed at this time.
