COMPTON – A Compton was has been identified as the person who died after falling off a San Pedro cliff on June 16.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to reports of individuals falling from a cliff in the 800 block of Paseo Del Mar around 2:00 a.m.
Upon arrival, paramedics located an individual at the bottom of the cliff at Point Fermin Park that was not responsive. Another victim was located halfway up the cliff in need of medical attention.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office has identified Scarlet Lizeth Chavarin, 26, as the deceased. Her cause of death has not been disclosed.
The other victim was taken to a local hospital in an unknown condition.
