SOUTH GATE – Los Angeles County Sheriff’s detectives and the South Gate Police Department are investigating a deadly shooting Monday in South Gate.
Homicide detectives with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department are assisting the South Gate Police Department in the shooting that happened in the 2300 block of Firestone Boulevard on Monday at 1:29 a.m., according to the sheriff’s department.
Information was not immediately available on the identity of the fatally wounded man, who died at the scene. Police did not release description of suspects.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
