LOS ANGELES – One person was killed in a fiery two-vehicle crash on the Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway in South Los Angeles Thursday evening.
The crash was reported at approximately 10:44 p.m. and California Highway Patrol officers responded to the Vermont Avenue exit of the westbound Glenn Anderson Freeway where they found a sedan on the freeway’s right shoulder and a Honda Prius on fire in the HOV lane, according to Officer Erik Larsen.
The victim, whose name, age or gender were not immediately known, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The CHP issued a SigAlert for the closure of the Vermont Avenue on- ramp and all lanes of the westbound portion of the freeway in the vicinity of the crash for several hours while they investigated its cause.
