LOS ANGELES – Authorities Thursday identified the second victim who was killed in a weekend shooting in the Central-Alameda area of Los Angeles. The shooting left a man and a woman dead and another man critically wounded.
William Lara, 32, was identified as the second victim in the shooting by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner’s office. He was pronounced dead at a hospital, where he was taken along with another man.
On Monday, the medical examiner’s office identified the fatally wounded woman as Amanda Gallegos, 24, who was homeless. Gallegos died at the scene, police said.
The shooting occurred about 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Alameda Street and Washington Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
According to the LAPD, four male suspects opened fire on the victims, striking all three.
The wounded man in his 30s who was hospitalized was critical condition, police said.
No arrests were reported. Anyone with information on the case was urged to call 877-LAPD-247.
