WATTS – A man is in custody after starting several fires near Fire Station 65 in Watts early Tuesday morning.
Los Angeles Fire Department personnel requested Los Angeles Police Department officers look for a suspect who was vandalizing and starting numerous small fires around the station.
The suspect fled on foot and was described as holding a knife in his right hand.
LAPD Southeast units responded to the area and located the suspect walking south on Grandee Ave at Century Blvd.
The suspect was taken into custody without further incident.
LAFD Arson was requested to the station for further investigation.
