WILMINGTON – Two people were killed in a fiery vehicle crash early Monday morning.
Shortly after 2 a.m., emergency personnel responded to the area of Alameda and O Streets for a vehicle fire with a possible entrapment.
Upon arrival, Los Angeles Police Department officers attempted to reach the vehicle to check for any trapped individuals but were unable to do so due to small explosions going off.
According to radio traffic, the dispatcher had difficulty reaching the fire department due to being left on hold.
Once Los Angeles Fire Department arrived, they extinguished the fire which has fully engulfed the vehicle and pronounced two individuals deceased at the scene.
“Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames upon arrival,” Prange said. “Sadly, they found two occupants deceased inside the vehicle. Age and gender were not able to be identified.”
