LOS ANGELES – A man was killed in a high-speed, multi-car, hit- and-run collision in the West Adams area and Friday police are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.
The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner identified the victim as Leonardo Sanchez Palomar.
Los Angeles Police Department officers were called at around 11:30 p.m. Thursday to the 4800 block of Adams Boulevard and Harcourt Avenue where they learned one of the vehicle was driving at high rate of speed when it hit the vehicle driven by the victim and ended up crashing into a nearby building, according to an LAPD spokesman.
Palomar was pronounced dead at the scene and witnesses told police the driver of the second vehicle ran away from the scene.
A woman who was traveling in another vehicle was taken to a hospital in an unknown condition.
